About

I am an illustrator and painter originally from Toronto, Canada and now based outside of Florence, Italy. My illustration work consists of digital storyboards and concept renderings for film production companies and advertising agencies. On the fine art side I make paintings in traditional media for exhibition and sale.

My personal work combines figurative, portrait, landscape and narrative formats, and is informed by my experience in film production and my early work in graffiti art. My media of choice include oil, watercolour, and digital.

As a student in the Drawing & Painting program at the Ontario College of Art and Design in 2000-2001 I spent two semesters in Florence acquiring an appreciation for the art of the Renaissance and the classical realist tradition then being revived in the city’s painting schools. During my final year at OCAD I received on-the-job training at one of Canada’s foremost mural companies, Lorimer Studios. After graduating, I gained several years of design experience in the art departments of major feature films in Toronto, later expanding my career into digital storyboarding and concept art.

During an extended painting trip to Italy and Croatia in 2019, I met my future wife and artistic partner, Marta Motti, and since moving to Italy to live with her we have studied painting with renowned artists Ben Fenske, Daniela Astone, and Amy Florence Moseley, as well as collaborating on live art events as Studio Peregrino, and on various storyboard projects.

I offer my illustration services to clients in the advertising, film, and publishing industries, and I welcome sales inquiries on my paintings.
